Right to Prayer Amendment

It is hard to believe that in 2012 in Missouri an amendment protecting the right to pray was even on the discussion table.  Religion is one of the foremost rights guaranteed in the Constitution.  It is disturbing to think that lawmakers have to restate again what is already allowed and protected.

Prayer is something beautiful that harms no one.  It is a reminder that we need God.  We are nothing without Him.  We use prayer to ask the Lord for grace and healing both, spiritual and physical.  We use prayer in times of hardships and in times of happiness.  To think that an angry and ignorant minority who do not understand prayer is even given an ear is crazy.

Our nation is founded upon Judeo-Christian beliefs.  Prayer and religion have always been a part of this nation.

I used to be an Atheist and prayer always was a splinter in my mind.  However, as I matured intellectually, emotionally and spiritually, I realized the gem that prayer is.   Studies even have showed that prayer is good for one's health.

Atheist's should spend their time fighting poverty, crime and disease instead of harassing religious people.
